Climate

 

Moderating coastal breezes extend Havelock’s warm month’s from April to September. The hottest days come at the end of July and first part of August when temperatures can hit the 100 degree mark.

 

The coldest period is normally in January and early February when the mercury can drop to zero on occasion. Throughout the winter months, though, mild days often bring temperatures in the 50’s, 60’s or even higher.

Summer thunderstorms are common. Snow is infrequent and normally light. Tornadoes are almost unknown. Hurricanes do visit the coast occasionally.

The average annual rainfall is 54 inches with an average annual temperature of 65 degrees.
