January Military Service Person of the Quarter 2022

On January 25th, the Havelock Military Affairs Committee honored LCpl Birash Budathoki as the Military Service Person of the Quarter. Members of the Havelock MAC, the City of Havelock, Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point Command, including Col. Mikel R. Huber, and Marines from the Marine Wing Communications Squadron – 28 assembled at Hancock Lodge aboard MCAS Cherry Point to celebrate LCpl Budathoki’s volunteerism with a luncheon and awards presentation.

“Despite a tempo of operations that is truly demanding, LCpl Budathoki has dedicated himself to others. Not only in his service to the country as a member of the Armed Forces, but also as a transplanted resident of Cherry Point and the communities that surround us.” wrote LtCol D. W. Katolin. LCpl Budathoki was selected from amongst his peers as the Military Service Person of the Quarter for volunteering throughout Havelock in various formats such as the Havelock Chamber of Commerce’s Salute to the Vets event and the City of Havelock’s Christmas Dinner Dance.
